How to Give a Great Gift on a Budget
A gift under $25 does not have to feel small. The trick is choosing something specific to the person instead of something generic, and presenting it well.
Pick for the person, not the price
- For kids: a small toy tied to something they already love, like dinosaurs, space or building.
- For teens: room decor, a desk fidget or a fun light they would not buy for themselves.
- For home cooks: a gadget that does one job well.
- For coworkers: something useful on a desk or in a kitchen drawer.
White elephant and gift exchange tips
The gifts people tend to trade for at a white elephant party are useful, a little bit fun and easy to understand at a glance. Lights, kitchen gadgets and cozy items usually go over well. Skip anything too personal, like a scent someone may not like.
Make it look bigger
Group two small items together, add a handwritten note, or pair a toy with the batteries it needs. A small gift in a nice bag always lands better.
Order on time
Delivery takes 10 to 15 business days, so place orders about three weeks before the party or holiday. For more ideas, browse our holiday gift shop or trending gifts.
